A Jamaican restaurant and a juice bar join the SF landmark's marketplace.

For Shani Jones, the chef-owner of San Francisco Jamaican catering company Peaches Patties, the Ferry Building restaurant is her first brick-and-mortar location. The business is named after her mother, who was nicknamed"Peaches" and known for her homemade beef patties. The restaurant offers a variety of Jamaican patties, which are flaky-shelled savory pastries traditionally filled with ground beef and spices — although curry chicken, lentil and spinach patties are also on the menu.
"We are happy to have our business open in San Francisco’s most famous landmark,” said Jones in a press release. “Peaches Patties will be the first Jamaican Patty shop and eatery to grace the Ferry Building.”. Plans include adding a civic plaza overlooking the water and up to three new restaurants on the north side of the building.
