As the first week of August wraps up, Public Health Sudbury and Districts reports two more local people have died as the result of COVID-19.
The local death count, according to the health unit, is now 163 since the pandemic began in March of 2020. The health unit also revealed there are 14 local outbreaks across the city in local long-term care homes, retirement homes and other congregate settings including the hospital. The PHSD report said there were 22 outbreaks in the past week, but eight of those outbreaks are over.
