Detectives investigating the fatal shooting of Elle Edwards at a pub on Christmas Eve have made two more arrests. The 26-year-old beautician had been enjoying a drink with friends and her sister at the Lighthouse pub in Wallasey, Wirral, when she was shot in the head.
A 23-year-old woman, from Wirral, has also been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. Both have been taken to police stations for questioning. It takes the total number of people arrested in connection with Elle's killing to five. In December, a 31 -year-old man from Tranmere and a 19-year-old woman from Rock Ferry were both arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to murder.
Detective Superintendent Sue Coombs, of Merseyside Police, said: “This brings the number of arrests in connection with the tragic death of Elle to five. Although extensive work is going on from our dedicated teams across Merseyside Police and a great deal of intelligence has come in, I would still ask that anyone who has information and has yet to come forward, does so.
