Oakland: Two men shot in West Oakland neighborhood
OAKLAND — Two men were shot Sunday night in a West Oakland neighborhood and a suspect was later arrested, police said.
The victims, a 24-year-old man who was shot in the face and a 31-year-old man who was shot in the leg, were in stable condition Monday, authorities said. The shooting happened around 9:15 p.m. Sunday in the 800 block of Mead Avenue, just west of San Pablo Avenue. Authorities said the victims and the suspect all live on Mead.Witnesses told police the suspect had fled to a nearby residence, where he was later arrested and a gun recovered, authorities said.
Authorities said the shooting stemmed from some kind of a dispute involving the victims and the suspect but did not offer more details. Their relationship was not immediately known.
