RCMP said that shortly before 10 p.m. on Saturday, a 1995 Firebird failed to negotiate a curve on Merryman Drive, went off the road and crashed into a tree.
“Sadly, both occupants suffered fatal injuries and were pronounced deceased at the scene,” said RCMP spokesman Staff Sgt.
Kris Clark.“While the investigation is in the early stages, alcohol and speed may be contributing factors in the crash.”
