Two men convicted of the 1965 assassination of Black activist Malcolm X are expected to be exonerated Thursday after an investigation uncovered evidence of their innocence.
The Manhattan district attorney’s office, along with the Innocence Project and the office of civil-rights lawyer David Shanies, is expected to ask a New York state judge to toss the convictions of the two men, Muhammad A. Aziz and Khalil Islam, on Thursday afternoon, officials said.
