Toronto police say two men are facing charges after an armed carjacking in Toronto on Tuesday.
Police say Kurt Downer, 40, of Toronto and Marcel Blackburn, 36, of Hagersville, Ont. were arrested following a carjacking.According to police, a man returned to his parked vehicle where he was then approached by one of the two suspects who pointed a handgun at him. The suspect ordered the man to get out of his vehicle.
The victim complied and the armed suspect entered the vehicle before another man entered the vehicle say police. The two suspects fled the area in the stolen vehicle.Police say at the time of arrest the men were found in possession of money allegedly taken during the robbery. Both men were charged with robbery with a firearm, disguise with intent, and two counts each of possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.They appeared in court Wednesday at Toronto North Court.
