Montgomery police officials on Thursday said Melvin Steiner Jr., 25, and Lamarch Russell Jr., 21, were killed Monday night.
Police and medics responded about 8 p.m. to the 1200 block of Hugh Street on a report of people shot, said police Maj. Saba Coleman. They arrived to find both victims dead on the scene.
The circumstances surrounding the deadly double shooting remain under investigation. No additional information has been released.
