Two killed in shooting at German Mercedes plant.
. The two victims were both 44-year old men. One reportedly died at the scene, while the other succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
The alleged perpetrator, a 53-year old man, was able to open fire on the victims on the factory floor before being restrained by security forces. He did not resist arrest once police arrived on scene. Police are currently investigating a possible motive. The factory, which employs roughly 35,000 people, was evacuated following the incident, which took place at 7:45 a.m. local time. All three people involved in the shooting were employees of an external service provider, rather than the Mercedes itself, the company told"We are deeply shocked and saddened by the tragic news from Sindelfingen this morning," Mercedes said in a statement."Our thoughts are with the victims, their families and all colleagues on site.
