Two killed in Porsche 911 GT3 rollover crash on Angeles Crest Highway.

Aerial photos from the scene published by Fox LA reporter Stu Mundel on Twitter show firefighters and LASD Special Enforcement recovering the vehicle, a 997.1 GT3 painted in red, from the cliffside just off the road. Judging by the damage it looks as if the car rolled at least once.

The two occupants, whose identities have not been shared, were pronounced dead at the scene, according to KTLA. The road has been closed in both directions while responders worked to recover the vehicle. The Angeles Crest Highway is a haven for enthusiasts in the Los Angeles area thanks to its sweeping corners, smooth pavement, and stunning views. It's considered one of the best driving roads in the state of California, though there are long stretches with steep dropoffs and without any runoff.
