Four people have been displaced after two Okotoks homes burned down on Sunday afternoon, RCMP say.
Emergency crews responded to the Okotoks neighbourhood of Sheep River Place at about 4:30 p.m. for reports that two houses were on fire. According to RCMP, two homes burned down and two other homes were damaged by the fire. No injuries were reported because both houses were unoccupied at the time of the blaze, however, one of the families lost a pet.The cause of the fire is not considered suspicious or criminal at this time, but Okotoks RCMP and the fire department are investigating.
“Okotoks RCMP would like to thank the public for their assistance in restricting their water usage and avoiding the area,” said a news release from the RCMP.
