Two police officers were on Thursday arrested in Kariega, Nelson Mandela Bay, on charges of sexually assaulting a man.
The officers allegedly picked up the man, who was on his way home from a friend's house on Monday, 10 July.The spokesperson for the Independent Police Investigative Directorate, Robbie Raburabu, said:"Thereafter, they dropped the victim off at a secluded place in the middle of nowhere and he had to find his way home."The other officer was arrested at Cuyler Hospital in Kariega.
The 41-year-old constable and 42-year-old sergeant are both members of the Kamesh Visible Policing Unit.
