Police report 38-year-old man arrested twice in less than eight hours for drinking and driving offences, assaulting an officer and driving while under suspension
Greater Sudbury Police Service reported that a city man has been charged twice for impaired driving offences within an eight hour period over two days. The same driver was also involved in two separate motor vehicle crashes, said a police news release.
As police officers arrived on the scene, they reported seeing a person in the driver's seat with signs of being impaired. After several hours had passed, GSPS officers were dispatched to another incident, this time a single-vehicle crash on Dominion Drive in Hanmer, at 12:15 a.m. on Nov. 26. A community member reported to police there was a vehicle in the ditch and the driver appeared to be stumbling around the vehicle.
