City Power says it's suspected the children may have been on an exposed live electricity wire in Mangolongolo Informal Settlement.

JOHANNESBURG - Two children have been killed, after being electrocuted at an informal settlement near Cleveland in Johannesburg.The Johannesburg Power Utility has described the area as one of the hotspots for illegal connections and vandalism of infrastructure.

It says at least 21 electrocution cases have been reported in the past two financial years, with six of them happening this year. City Power has expressed its condolences to the family and has dispatched a team to investigate the incident.
