Two journalists working for the Al Jazeera Arab Network have been killed in an Israeli airstrike in the Gaza strip while covering reaction to theJournalist Ismail al-Ghoul and his cameraman Rami al-Refee were killed while working in the Shati refugee camp, west of Gaza and near the home of Haniyeh.
The UN has called for a full investigation and accountability for the killing of all journalists in the ongoing war. A colleague of the deceased, journalist Anas Al-Sharif, told Al Jazeera that the two were on a mission to film near the house of Ismail Haniyeh, who was killed in a suspected Israeli attack in Tehran while there to attend the inauguration of that country’s new President.
There was no immediate comment from Israel on the Gaza strike, which rejects accusations that it has targeted journalists in its 10-month war with Hamas in Gaza.
