Twitter/X reportedly has a dedicated @Handle team working on creating a marketplace for usernames that are registered but inactive.

Citing internal company emails, the publication reported that X has a dedicated “task force” called the @Handle Team, which is trying to create a marketplace for handles occupied by inactive accounts.
