Big changes are coming to Elon Musk's social media platform and they are coming soon.
Well, according to the links provided, folks who pay for their blue checkmark will need to have a verified phone number. And, if they have that and pay the fee they will get “all of the existing Blue features,” which the company says will include the ability to edit tweets, upload 1080p videos, custom navigation, bookmark folders and “top articles and more.”Tweets from “verified users” will be prioritized — helping to fight scams and spam.
Legacy Verified members — folks who have been proven to be authentic — who don’t pay the fee, according to the company’s post, will lose their blue checkmark and will not be amplified on the same level as those who pay Twitter for “verification” moving forward. So, how much will Elon Musk’s new free speech initiative cost users if they want to have the benefits of being “verified”?
The $7 per month fee is actually if users opt-in to the annual plan, which Twitter says means you will be billed $84 per year.
