TUT to reopen campuses on March 25
Pretoria - After having lost the entire first semester of the academic calendar due to violent student protests the Tshwane University of Technology has announced it will once again attempt to reopen its campuses on Monday.
University spokesperson, Willa de Ruyter, said management had been engaging the relevant stakeholders to resolve the issues that resulted in the indefinite suspension of the academic programme on 6 March. De Ruyter said university management was of the view that the proposed changes should provide students enough time to prepare and complete the prescribed hours needed.
