That was the big takeaway for the Yankees, who essentially made Tulowitzki a low-risk insurance policy by signing him to a one-year deal for the league minimum. “Can’t wait,” he said. “Today didn’t count, but it counted for myself. It will be exciting. I just like to compete, man.”Stroman’s praise came with a caveat — don’t expect Tulowitzki to get the best of him in the regular season.
“I feel great, to be honest,” Stroman said. “It’s the first time I’ve been out there feeling like myself since, I don’t know, 2017.
