Tshwane councillors should not be persecuted for exercising their democratic right – EFF
The leader of the EFF in Tshwane, Obakeng Ramabodu, said that councillors who voted in the new mayor for the capital should not be persecuted.
The party added it acknowledged that the secret ballot provision existed to protect votes of conscience:"This cannot be an unchecked power." The ANC’s Eugene Modise said the DA-led coalition collapsed because of the ‘arrogance’ of the DA leaders.
