Vilakazi spent the past six years at Mamelodi Sundowns winning five league titles, two Nedbank Cups, Telkom KnockOut, the MTN8, and the CAF Super Cup whole the 2016 CAF Champions League was also won when he was already at the club.
He has been linked with a move to Kaizer Chiefs for several years as he battles his way at Chloorkop where he played 11 games this past season. Over the past two years, he has been restricted to 21 appearances which have contributed to Sundowns not exercising the option to renew.
