Try July returns in 2023 as players unveil their try-scoring celebrations to help raise funds for a special part of the rugby league family.
campaign returns in 2023 as players across the game unveil their try-scoring celebrations to help raise funds for a special part of the rugby league family.
For every try celebration in July this year – featuring four rounds of NRL, two rounds of NRLW and the third State of Origin fixture – Sportsbet will donate $5,000 to the recovery efforts of Nathan Stapleton and Daniel Anderson. A former Sharks fullback, Stapleton lost feeling below the neck after a country rugby match in regional NSW last year while Anderson was involved in a body surfing accident on the NSW Central Coast which has also left him with a long road to recovery.
Launched in 2020, the Try July campaign initially raised $85,000 for the Men of League Foundation before reaching new heights in 2021 – raising $265,000 for the Family of League's Mose Masoe appeal to support the injured footballer.

Market is ‘disbelieving’ of any extended pause as RBA holds interest rates for JulyCommSec’s Tom Piotrowski says the market is “disbelieving” of any extended pause as the Reserve Bank of Australia held interest rates on Tuesday for July. “The market as far as currencies is disbelieving of the potential for any extended pause because the Aussie dollar sold off quite aggressively yesterday after the pause,” he told Sky News Australia. “But has regained all of that ground and it’s trading just short of the highs that it made overnight, just above 67 US cents, having been below 66.5 US cents overnight.” Presented by CommSec.
