President Donald Trump on Friday urged Gov. Gretchen Whitmer of Michigan to cut a deal with her state's anti-quarantine protesters, some of whom gathered in the state capitol on Thursday armed with assault weapons.

“The Governor of Michigan should give a little, and put out the fire. These are very good people, but they are angry,” Trump wrote in a tweet. “They want their lives back again, safely!
