President Trump has endorsed former Auburn University football coach Tommy Tuberville in the U.S. Senate race in Alabama.
Trump visits Capitol Hill to discuss an economic stimulus package with Senate Republicans, but his idea for payroll tax cut gets mixed reviews.“Looking forward to helping you drain the swamp and ,” Tuberville responded to Trump in a tweet.
“I believed in those principles then, I have always fought for them, and I will continue to do so,” Sessions wrote.Sessions and Tuberville were the top two vote-getters in last week’s GOP primary but were forced into a runoff after failing to capture more than 50% of the vote.
