Trump's plan, which targets at least 2,000 undocumented immigrants, will start Sunday

If the raids do go ahead this weekend—Trump being Trump, there’s no guarantee—the timing couldn’t be worse. The administration is currently scrambling to get Democrats on board for a deal tobefore lawmakers leave Washington for their August recess amid fears the Treasury department could run out of cash. Failure to reach an agreement could imperil Trump’s much-ballyhooed trade agreement with Canada and Mexico.
