While the chaos that overwhelmed major airports earlier this year has largely subsided, the vaccine mandate and other border measures have continued to cause delays for some travellers. Airlines, airports, border-town mayors and the tourism industry more broadly have all asked the government to suspend the rules and return to pre-pandemic travel.
Many other nations around the world have suspended their mandates, though the United States still requires international arrivals to be vaccinated.
