No one was inside the home when the truck went off the road about 1:55 p.m. Monday in the 2900-block of the Island Highway, about seven kilometres south of Parksville.
Marcy Sjostrom says her neighbour was out getting a manicure when a semi-truck smashed into her home in Nanoose Bay on Monday afternoon.
On Monday, the truck was northbound about 1:55 p.m. in the 2900 block of the Island Highway, about seven kilometres south of Parksville, when it went through an adjacent yard and then into the side of the house, said Oceanside RCMP Cpl. Mike Kane. Sjostrom said her daughter was in a garage suite at her mother’s home when the truck hit the home next door.
