The atmosphere is growing inside Glasgow Green this afternoon, as Geordie rocker Sam Fender prepares to take to the TRNSMT Main Stage on Saturday night
Despite a severe weather warning and forecasts of torrential rain his fans are proving themselves to be a hardy bunch - with no obvious welly boots on site, and trainers appearing to be the preferred shoe of choice.
Sitting in the grass in their colourful combos until the heavens opened gives everything the true festival atmosphere. Sam, who is one of Lewis Capaldi’s besties, shares the bill with other big names including Kasabian and Aitch. The former have previously hailed Glasgow as the best fans in the world, while the latter comes to Glasgow fresh from Glastonbury.
Among the female artists on the line up today are the brilliant Maisie Peters with her songs including The Good Witch, Brit Award best new talent Mimi Webb, singer and multi instrumentalist Brooke Combe who wore a Scotland shirt on stage, and Radio 1‘s Arielle Free who is performing a DJ set at the Boogie Bar, where Bongos Bingo also got the crowds hyper.
