A family has been left devastated after a much-loved dad-of-six with a "heart of gold" died suddenly at the age of just 31. Michael Lane passed away shortly before turning 32.
He told Edinburgh Live: "My mum has been left devastated by it all and has been left to deal with everything as well as taking care of Michael's oldest child who is 13. "He loved the Fast and Furious films and had his own small Ford as his first car but as I was too big for it I'd bang my head every time we went over a bump. Suzanne added: "My daughter is quite strange around men but she bonded with him as soon as she met him. He would give her a cuddle and say that she was a little princess and he was a knight so he would always protect her.
