Jason Winder has been described as 'ultra talented and always unique'
Tributes have been paid to a well-known DJ following reports he lost his life at Glastonbury Festival this week.
Originally from Chorley, it is understood Jason had been living and working in Phuket, Thailand. Friend and colleague Tim Newton explained the work Jason was best known for and how much he meant to him.His post reads: "Vale Jason Wilder. Very, very sad news this morning of the death of work compatriot and good friend Jason Wilder. Jason passed away whilst at the Glastonbury music festival whilst resting in his on-site tent.
"Ultra-talented, unique, always surprising. When he was 'on' it was hard to turn him off. Apart from a huge expat following, he had even more close Thai friends. He spoke his own version of Thai but it didn't really matter because his intentions were always clear with his wicked grin and wide smile, always embracing anyone near into his world of spontaneous fun.
Glastonbury festival is held at Worthy Farm in Somerset every year. A five-day event, it hosts top music acts from all over the world, with headliners this year including Elton John, Guns N' Roses and Artic Monkeys.
