National Treasury worked very hard to ensure concerns that led to South Africa being greylisted were kept to a minimum when he answered questions in parliament on Thursday.
Regarding its sister states, Ramaphosa said South Africa would continue to raise issues of a good governance and legislative nature.“So this has clearly given us an opportunity to look at ourselves, but also to play an advocacy role in relation to the various other sister countries on the continent.
“Our minister of finance sits on that AU committee and their discussions have started gravitating towards that direction. So we are going to be focusing on the issues that have been raised by theso all of us can get out of that group of countries that are greylisted.”Brics summit, due to take place from August 22 to 24, would be preceded by a state visit from one of the bloc's leaders. “We are still finalising those discussions at a diplomatic level.
