Traffic flows in the southbound lane of Interstate 65 near the exit to 61st Street in Merrillville on Monday, May 15, 2023. RAM Construction Services will be conducting high friction surface treatment on seven off-ramps along I-94 and I-65 beginning on or after Monday, September 25.
The following week work is expected to start on the southbound I-65 to Ridge Road ramp on Oct. 2, the eastbound I-94 to northbound Kennedy Avenue ramp will close on on Oct. 4, and the eastbound I-94 to southbound Calumet Avenue ramp will close on Oct. 10.Work on the southbound I-65 to U.S. 231 ramp is also expected to be completed during current closure.
