Transnet workers affiliated to the United National Transport Union say they are currently deliberating on whether to accept the CCMA's proposed 6% wage offer on condition that their jobs are safe. For more:
JOHANNESBURG - The South African Transport and Allied Workers Union has rejected Transnet's 6% wage offer.The unions have also received support from labour federations the Congress of South African Trade Unions and the South African Communist Party .Meanwhile, three government ministers stepped in to try and end the strike at Transnet.
Public Enterprises Minister Pravin Gordhan, Labour Minister Thulas Nxesi and Agriculture Minister Thoko Didiza engaged with unions and the Transnet board.Watch the video above for more details.
