Transit CBRM is receiving $360,000 from a federal-provincial transit funding program. DAVID JALA • CAPE BRETON POSTSYDNEY, N.S. — Transit CBRM is getting a share of federal and provincial joint funding going to transit operators across the province.
The transit service is getting $360,000 to help offset fare revenue lost due to the COVID-19 pandemic. “Broader access to transit really helps residents who don’t have access to a vehicle,'' said Brian Comer, MLA for Cape Breton East. “I’m pleased our government is investing in transit in rural Nova Scotia to increase accessibility and reliability.”
