Pictures show the extent of the damage
A tram collided with an ambulance in Nottingham city centre on Friday afternoon . A witness said the collision happened near the Theatre Royal, near the traffic lights at the end of Goldsmith Street.
The incident reportedly happened shortly before 3pm. A photo from the scene shows that the collision caused damage to the front of the ambulance response car. No injuries were reported at the scene and everyone involved is believed to be OK. On Friday, a spokesperson for East Midlands Ambulance Service said: “One of our fast response cars was involved in a road traffic collision with a tram in Nottingham this afternoon, causing vehicle damage. There were no injuries reported at the scene.”
The incident caused disruption to the tram network in the city centre. And NCT temporarily accepted tram tickets on buses. In a tweet, operator NET apologised for the inconvenience.
