Khalid Mahmood met one of his victims at Piccadilly station and tricked her into giving him £7,000
A man has been found guilty of tricking single women into handing over thousands of pounds. Khalid Mahmood used dating apps to meet his victims then swindle them out of cash.
He told the woman she would need a passport photograph, but when he could not find a photo booth he sent the victim into a shop to enquire while he made off with her £7,000 cash. Mahmood had earlier offered the same membership to a woman he met at Kings Cross station in March 2020. In July 2021, he travelled to Oxford to meet his victim who he had also met on a dating website. There he attempted to convince the woman to take up his offer of membership.
