Train services between Boon Lay and Queenstown MRT stations were suspended on the morning of September 25 due to a traction power fault. A Kawasaki Heavy Industries train returning to Ulu Pandan depot caused a power trip, resulting in a train near Clementi station stalling. Free regular bus services were made available as commuters faced delays and overcrowding.

The Stomper left the platform and planned to take a bus to work, but the bus queue was so long that she changed her mind. She decided to take the train back to Choa Chu Kang and work from home.The Stomper added:"I feel sorry for those rushing to work. I overheard this old uncle saying his boss won’t allow this as excuse and he can't afford Gojek.
