After a train derailment in Sylacauga, officials are urging motorists to avoid Oldfield Road north of Harper Springs Road and take Highway 21 instead.
No injuries were reported in the derailment along Oldfield Road near Harper Springs Road, according to the Sylacauga Fire Department, which responded to the scene.Although Oldfield Road has been “reopened for now,” fire officials said, “traffic will continue to be impacted on Oldfield throughout the night and into tomorrow with additional road closures possible.”
