On Wednesday morning, Cape Town traffic officers arrested one of the Top 100 dodgers, who had 30 outstanding warrants totaling R96,600.
Traffic officers stationed on Jakes Gerwel Drive stopped a white minibus, but the driver jumped out and fled on foot to Heideveld.On Tuesday of this week, officers arrested a 47-year-old motorist in Epping for 30 outstanding warrants totaling R79 250.
During their weekly patrols, the city’s law enforcement officers arrested 399 suspects and fined 71 861 people. Meanwhile, traffic officers arrested a motorist on arrest warrants totaling R101,700.Last Thursday, traffic officers were in the Heideveld area, tracing the top 100 offenders with outstanding warrants.
The suspect was positively identified as being on the list, with thirty outstanding warrants. He was detained at the Wynberg police station, and appeared in the municipal court the following day.
