The Town of Comox has announced it has opened at the Comox Community Centre from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. today (Aug. 30) and Aug. 31.
A misting station will also be established on the corner of Comox Ave and Port Augusta that will be open from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Aug. 30 and Aug. 31. There is also a misting station outside of the Comox Fire Hall.
Additionally, the Town of Comox says residents can take advantage of the Rotary Splash Park between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m.Sign up for our newsletter to get breaking news and daily digests sent to your email.Environment Canada has issued a heat warning for parts of Vancouver Island, including the Comox Valley, saying that temperatures are expected to reach 29 degrees for the next two days.
