Tourists with bookings on the 'Harry Potter' train have been left disappointed

Tourists in Scotland have been left gutted after a train service popular among Harry Potter fans was suddenly axed for six days.

The iconic train is also fondly known as 'the Hogwarts Express' as it crosses the 21-arched Glenfinnan Viaduct which appears in the movie franchise. In an online statement, West Coast Railways commented: "Due to unforeseen circumstances, we are unable to run our Jacobite service on 15th, 16th, 17th, 18th, 19th & 20th July 2023 as planned.
