This week, North America will have the chance to witness a total solar eclipse and observe Comet Pons-Brooks alongside the moon. The eclipse will be followed by the sighting of the Shawwal Moon, marking the end of Ramadan and the beginning of Eid-al-fitr. The totality will last up to 4 minutes and 26 seconds, but can only be seen within the 115-mile wide path of totality stretching from northwestern Mexico to Atlantic Canada.

Darkness in the day and a chance to see the sun's spectacular corona with naked eyes will only be open to those who try to travel to the 115-mile wide path of totality that stretches from the Pacific coast of northwestern Mexico to Atlantic Canad
