An arrest has been made, weeks after a woman was nearly carjacked in west Toronto. One other person is at large.Police say a woman, 39, had pulled into a parking lot and was stepping out of her car when she was approached by two men. One of them pointed a handgun at her and ordered her to get out.The men got away in a getaway car.
Ali Barre, 26, of Toronto, was arrested Tuesday after investigators searched his residence. They allegedly found clothing that he had worn during the attempted carjacking, as well as gun ammo. He has been charged with robbery with a firearm, disguise with intent, weapons dangerous and careless storage of a firearm.
The second suspect has not yet been identified. He is described as a Black male, around 18 years old. Anyone with information can call police at 416-808-8477, or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-8477 .Ctrl+Enter
