More than a month after a man was found lying on the ground, unconscious, in Etobicoke, police have managed to identify him.

Officers were called to the Kipling Avenue and The Westway area around 11:20 p.m. March 5 and found the man. The investigation revealed a dark-coloured car stopped in the area, two people got out, took the injured man out of the trunk, left him on the sidewalk and then drove off. Police have now identified the victim as a 19-year-old man. He remains in hospital in critical condition.

To protect the safety and identity of the victim, officers say they will not be releasing anymore information at this time.File photo courtesy of Toronto policeCtrl+Enter
