Police said they were called to the area of Dundas Street West and Avonhurst Road just after 7 p.m. Monday with reports of a shooting.
Upon arrival, police said they located a victim who was pronounced dead on scene. Police said the suspect was in custody and the homicide unit had taken over the investigation.
Police charged 64-year-old Abdiaziz Abdi, of Toronto, with first-degree murder in relation to the shooting.Police are asking anyone with information about the incident to contact them at 416-808-7400 or call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-8477.
