Toronto enjoyed warm weather on Wednesday after the city reached record high temperatures that are expected to continue into the week.

The summerlike weather spurred the Rogers Centre to open its roof for Wednesday night’s Blue Jays game,Environment Canada meteorologist Geoff Coulson said Toronto could break more weather records if the city reaches the forecasted temperatures of 28 C on Thursday and 27 C on Friday.Temperatures for the rest of the week will be “well above normal,” Coulson said.

“What is noteworthy about this particular weather trend … is just its longevity. And the fact that we could be breaking three records in a row,” he said.
