Top Republicans in the House are voicing they feel that a review into former Vice President Mike Pence’s handling of classified information should be conducted in the wake of reports documents were found at his Indiana home on Tuesday.
The news of Pence having improperly stored classified documents at his residence comes on the heels of classified information being found at President Joe Biden’s Wilmington, Delaware, residence and at the Penn Biden Center for Diplomacy and Global Engagement, with GOP lawmakers raising concerns about the national security risks of Biden having kept the information after his time as vice president.
House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer said he has spoken with Pence, who has “agreed to fully cooperate with congressional oversight” on the situation. Comer went on to take a swing at Biden, alleging that the Biden administration has failed to be as transparent as it could be under similar circumstances.
