The Department of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment points to “craftier” cyber criminals that are becoming an intensified threat to government.
The Department of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment is calling for thought leaders and innovators in their field to provide managed ICT security services.
“Over the past five years, the ongoing cyber threat landscape has often exposed national government agencies, state-owned entities and other government-run organisations. The threat to government has only intensified, as has been apparent for all citizens to notice.” The department also notes it has an entitlement from Microsoft E5 Security for 3 850 officials, which the service provider must use.
The State Information Technology Agency is looking for a Microsoft licence solution provider to administer the Microsoft licences enrolment for the sub-150 licences. This follows a framework agreement signed with Microsoft on behalf of government in 2016, which caters for government organisations with less than 150 users to be able to benefit from discount pricing, by utilising the Microsoft enterprise licence agreement that SITA created specifically for its purpose.
The City of Cape Town is calling for software development services to develop, maintain and support the current enterprise performance management application based on open source software. The contract will include the front-end , back-end and application programming interface.
