Kolisi underwent surgery on Friday after suffering a knee injury in a United Rugby Championship match against Munster almost two weeks ago.
JOHANNESBURG - Springboks team doctor Jerome Mampane said it was too early to make a call on when captain Siya Kolisi may be able to return to play after he underwent a knee surgery last week.
Bok management said they would continue to monitor Kolisi’s progress as he attempts to make a comeback in time for the world champions’ title defence at the Rugby World Cup in France starting in September. Kolisi was initially thought to be out of contention to lead the side, once again, at the tournament.
