Tom Parker became friends with a woman as she was also battling a terminal brain tumour
Tom Parker helped a woman who was also suffering from a brain tumour who tragically died six weeks before The Wanted star.
The singer was a source of comfort for many others who were experiencing the illness, with Tom forming a friendship with 23 year old Amani Liaquat, with the pair bonding over text messages and voice notes. Others lifted her spirits as upbeat Tom declared: “I know it’s scary but you’re going to be fine... you’ve got this!”Speaking to the Mirror about the pair’s friendship, Armani’s dad said the death of Tom had felt like losing another family member.Her dad Kurum said: “Their journey, the stories of seizures and so on were almost identical so they clicked straight away. To have him keep in touch, to have almost this lifeline from Tom, gave Amani some hope and excitement.
“He also texted to say: ‘Think of it like this, you could be in a position where they couldn’t do anything. You’ve got this!’ That really helped her.”
